Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Miguel Cardoso and star forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa, have once again emerged victorious in the Betway Premiership Monthly Awards.
Cardoso and Ribeiro have been named Coach and Player of the Month for the month of May 2025 respectively, marking the third time this season that both Cardoso and Costa have claimed the monthly honours.
Cardoso guided Sundowns to a perfect month, winning all five Betway Premiership fixtures in May as Masandawana march to their eighth consecutive Premiership title.
Ribeiro Costa continued his scintillating form scoring three goals, one against Stellenbosch FC and a brace against Magesi FC in their last fixture of the season.
This was Ribeiro’s third Betway Premiership Player of the Month beating a strong contenders in the form of his teammates, Iqraam Rayners and Marcello Allende who were also instrumental for the champions.
Ribeiro also clinched the Betway Premiership Goal of the Month award – his third for this season – for his strike against Magesi FC.
