Comitis names the new Cape Town club!

John Comitis has officially announced that his new club will be known as Cape Town City FC. The announcement, together with the revelation of the new logo and club colours was made today, 29 June 2016 at the Cape Town Stadium.

Comitis purchased the Mpumalanga Black Aces franchise at the end of last season and relocated the team to Cape Town. 14 players, among them Aubrey Ngoma, Mpho Matsi, Vincent Kobola, Bhongolwethu Jayiya, Lebogang Manyama and Lehlohonolo Nonyane have relocated with the team. 

In a ceremony attended by the dignitaries from the City of Cape Town and SAFA Western Cape, Comitis revealed that the team will be known as Cape Town City FC.

The team will wear blue and yellow kit at home and In terms of the away kit, City “fans” will get an opportunity to decide the kit from the two designs, Black and Gold, and Yellow and Gold. The campaign will be known as #ItsYourCall.

Comitis also announced that there are plans to give former players and Legends around Cape Town seasonal and lifetime tickets to watch Cape Town City FC.
