The battle to determine Mzansi’s number one football hood will play itself out in Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa this weekend when MultiChoice Diski Shield reaches its climax stage.
Makhulong Stadium will host the Cup final match between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 05 May 2018.
The two clubs showed impressive form on the road to the final – with Kaizer Chiefs defeating Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 and Mamelodi Sundowns beating Golden Arrows 1-0 last weekend.
Both Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic will also be in action for the third place play-off spot.This fixture will kick-off at 12h00.
The most anticipated match is between two Gauteng based teams Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. Both teams will clash for the ultimate prize for their community. This finale will determine the boss of the cities. Kick-off is at 15h00.
Entry is free on the day and tickets can be collected at the stadium on Thursday and Friday, 03/04 May 2018 from 13h00. All two matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport 4 and 10.
The Premier Soccer League together with partners MultiChoice encourages supporters and community members to once again come in numbers to watch this Diski Shield Finale. Loads of entertainment is planned for the day, among which will be award winning artist: Kwesta.
Both clubs will play for more than just bragging rights. The club that wins the ultimate prize of R150 000 will donate that money towards a community initiative. Kaizer Chiefs are playing for Emshukantambo High School based in Soweto while Mamelodi Sundowns will playing for Mamelodi High School.
