Banyana Banyana forward Thembi Kgatlana has joined Spanish giants Atletico Madrid Feminino on a two-year deal.
The 25-year old Kgatlana spent last season with fellow Spanish top flight side Eibar, where he excelled scoring 10 goals in 21 games.
The 2018 CAF women’s Player of the Year expressed her excitement at joining a top side.
“I am very happy to arrive at Atlético de Madrid. As a footballer you always dream of playing for the best clubs,” Kgatlana told club media at her unveiling.
“My first goal is to be a team player and to work hard for the team. I am very happy to be able to join you soon, I can’t wait to meet you all.”
