Maritzburg United have confirmed the appointment of former Bloemfontein Celtic and most recently Royal AM coach John Maduka as their newbhead coach on a three year contract, until June 2025.
Maduka comes in as a replacement for Ernst Midden dorp who was released at the end of the season after saving the club from relegation.
The Team of Choice Board of Directors “unanimously” believe that 51-year old Maduka is the right candidate to lead the club going forward.
Maduka has brought his long trusted lieutenant Ditheko Mototo along to serve as his assistant.
Chairman Farook Kadodia believes Maduka has the ability, commitment and passion to lead the club into this new era.
“We have seen the work of the coach over a number of years and are confident that he has the ability, commitment and passion to lead the club into this new era. We are in the process of assessing a number of potential signings in this rebuilding phase of the Club and are confident that this process will be lead effectively by the new Head Coach and his technical team. Kadodia said.
