Mhango suspended for 10 matches!

The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee (PSL DC) has charged Bidvest Wits striker Gabadinho Mhango with misconduct for spitting at Michael Morton. 

Bidvest Wits FC and Mr Gabadinho Mhango were charged with misconduct following incidents which took place during the club’s match against Amazulu FC on 20 September 2017.

Mhango was suspended for 10 matches – four matches suspended. The club was sentenced to a fine of R 50 000.00, suspended.

Morton was also charged and found guilty of assaulting Mhango in retaliation but acquitted of spitting at him. Morton was suspended for two more matches in addition to the suspension he already served due to a red card he received on the day.

The club was sentenced to a fine of R 50 000.00, suspended.

The rest of the PSL DC rulings:

MARITZBURG UNITED: The club was charged with failing to provide adequate security during their fixture against Supersport United FC on 09 September 2017.
The club was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of R 20 000.00.

ROYAL EAGLES: They was charged with failing to provide adequate security during their National First Division (NFD) fixture against Highlands Park FC on 26 August 2017.
The club was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of R 10 000.00.
Secondly, the club was charged with failing to give their opponents Super Eagles FC timeous access to their change rooms on 23 September 2017. The club was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of R 20 000.00.

RICHARDS BAY and RICHARD MAKHOBA: Mr Makhoba and Richards Bay were charged with misconduct following an incident which took place during the club’s NFD fixture against Tshakhuma FC on 24 September 2017 during which the match officials were abused and the match was delayed.
Mr Richard Makhoba was suspended for four matches and sentenced to a suspended fine of R 10 000.00. The club was sentenced to a fine of R 20 000.00, suspended.

BIDVEST WITS and GEORGE MOGOTSI: Bidvest Wits and Mr Mogotsi were charged with misconduct following incidents which took place during the club’s match against Kaizer Chiefs FC on 16 September 2017 during which the match officials were abused and the match was delayed.
Mr George Mogotsi was suspended for four matches. The club was sentenced to a fine of R 50 000.00, suspended.
