Kaizer Chiefs have unveiled seven new players, and promoted a youngster from the development team.
Today’s unveiling will be welcome by the Amakhosi fans after the massive exodus of players from Naturena at the end of last season.
Chiefs confirmed the signing of Keagan Buchanan from Bloem Celtic, Sibusiso Khumalo from SuperSport United – part of the swap deal with Keagan Ritchie, Enocent Mkhabela from SuperSport United, Ramahlwe Mphahlele from Mamelodi Sundowns, Lewis Macha a Zambian from Ferroviário de Maputo, Edmore Chirambadare and Michelle Katsvairo from Chicken Inn of Zimbabwe and Emmanuel Letlotlo was promoted from the development team.
Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung said the massive exodus and the signing of these players was necessitated by the underwhelming 2015/2016 season.
“It is no secret that we had an underwhelming 2015/16 season,”
It was important for us to reflect and recognise that we deserve better. Accordingly, we made the necessary changes to ensure we bring the smiles back to the loyal Amakhosi faithful and our sponsors. We worked tirelessly with the technical team to identify and attract the best available talent in our quest to regain the titles and trophies we have become accustomed to winning.” Bobby said.
