Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane expects AmaZulu to be a tough opponent considering the squad they have assembled as well as the start they have had in the 2022/2023 season.
Amakhosi will play Usuthu in semi-final to be played over two legs after they needed penalties to beat Stellenbosch FC 4-3 in the quarterfinals after the game had ended 1-1.
“We all know it won’t be an easy one. They are doing very well at the present moment,” Zwane said.
“They’ve been winning their league games and they’re also through to the semi-finals where they are playing against us. They’ve assembled a very good squad with a good coach and technical stuff.
“It is going to be a two-legged [Home and away] that will be very, very difficult – no easy games. It is a knockout competition, so it depends on how we are going to approach them home and away, and also how they are going to respond.
“Because firstly we are playing them in a league game this coming weekend. We are looking forward to the game and we hope that we will do well and go through to the final.”
Chiefs will play AmaZulu three times in the next few weeks as they will host them in the DStv Premiership at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
