Ajax Cape Town’s hope of playing their football in the Absa Premiership next season has been boosted after Judge Denise Fisher ruled in their favour regarding the on-going Tendai Ndoro matter.
Judge Fisher has set aside the initial ruling from SAFA Arbitrator William Mokhari, which found Ajax guilty of fielding an ineligible player in Ndoro. The judge has referred the matter to the FIFA Players Committee.
The outcome technically means Ajax have been reinstated back to 15th place on the Absa Premiership log standings for the 2017-18 season.
Ajax CEO Ari Efstathiou says they are please with the judgment.
“Ajax Cape Town are naturally very pleased with Judge Fisher’s ruling to set aside Advocate Mokhari’s award.
“The club will make further comment once full clarity on Judge Fisher’s judgement is received from its legal team.” Said Efstathiou.
