Durban ladies arrived in Tsakane on the back of two straight losses and low on confidence. They left Tsakane humbled after conceding five goals in their 3rd straight loss.

JVW raced to a 2-0 lead inside the opening five minutes to start the rout. Nomathemba Ntsibande opened the scoring with a header in the 2nd minute before Isabella Ludwig made it 2-0 with a finish at the far post just two minutes later.

On 35 minutes, Durban Ladies’ defender misjudged a bouncy ball from Ludwig just outside the box allowing JVW captain Nompumelelo Nyandeni to run through on goal before producing a brilliant chip over the keeper to make it 3-0.

Then, Banyana Banyana international midfielder Mamello Makhabane picked up the ball in the middle of the park, exchanged couple of passes with Nyandeni, before clinically beating the keeper from inside the box to make it 4-0 on the stroke of half time.

JVW completed the rout 10 minutes into the second half when Makhabane converted a penalty for her brace. The penalty was won after a handball in the box.

Immediately after scoring  their fifth goal, JVW brought in the experienced Amanda Dhlamini and controlled the game without affording Durban Ladies any sniff of their goals to make it three win in a row.
