Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane tells the players to adapt to the new way of play as the team need to establish a new identity that is different to the style used by fired former head coach Stuart Baxter.

“Look, any change will cause a little bit of disruption because firstly, we are obviously trying to change the style of play,” Zwane said when asked by Diski voice about the impact of Stuart Baxter’s firing on players.

“Secondly, the change will affect certain individuals. They must adapt to the way we want to play as a club because we must have some sort of an identity.  Even when go out to look for players, those players can fit into our system, and understand what’s expected from them.

“It will take some time, but we are hoping come next season we should be ready to compete because that is what we are trying to do right now.”

Zwane will be hoping his players adapt quickly to the changes as they will be playing back-to-back games, starting with the replay of their Covid-19 impacted December fixture against Golden Arrows on Wednesday and Cape Town City on Saturday.
