Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor Zola Majavu has confirmed that Orlando Pirates have been found guilty of ‘unreasonably’ denying TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi access to the Orlando Stadium.
The charges came after TS Galaxy President, Tim Sukazi wrote to the Executive Committee of the premier league to investigate the “barbaric behavior” that was displayed by Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium in December 2021 in denying access and manhandled him even though he was in possession of an accreditation which allowed him access to the field and the changeroom.
“The PSL DC has just returned a guilty verdict against Orlando Pirates.
“This is a result of Pirates having been found to have unreasonably denied Mr. Tim Sukazi access to Orlando Stadium when he was entitled to do so.
“As a result, Orlando Pirates Football Club was found to have brought the league, the game, SAFA, CAF, FIFA and the sponsors into disrepute.
“Having been so convicted, the next stage now is for both parties to address the committee with regards to the appropriate sanction.
“The matter will therefore argue on 3 May 2022 at 15h00 with regard to what each party contends should be the appropriate sanction where after the DC will make its final decision on sanction.” Majavu said.
