Chiefs Confirm New Technical Team

Kaizer Chiefs have finally confirmed the appointment of Mohamed Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach.

Nabi have signed a two-year contract with an option to extend by one year.

The 58-year-old Tunisian-born Nabi holds a UEFA Pro coaching licence, and previously coached, among others, Far Rabat, Young Africans FC, Al-Merrikh Sporting Club.

Chiefs’ Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr believes the club have finally found the right man to take the club back to the top.

“After what has been a fairly exhaustive vetting process, it gives us great pleasure to finally welcome our new head coach to Kaizer Chiefs,” Motaung Jr. said.

“We believe we have found the right man to fulfil our vision of restoring Amakhosi to our rightful place at the top of the football pyramid, and we welcome coach Nabi and his technical team with the pledge of unity and support in pursuit of our common goal.”

Nabi will be assistant by Khalil Ben Youssef as first assistant coach and Fernando Da Cruz as a second assistant coach.

Ilyes Mzoughi will look after the goalkeepers as a goalkeeping coach while Safi Majdi joins as strength and conditioning coach and assistant coach.

Nabi has previously worked with the rest of the technical team that will be joining him at Naturena.
