De Sa: A win will come

Platinum Stars coach Roger De Sa watched in horror as his men surrendered the lead, not once but twice to draw 2-2 against Baroka FC away at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday afternoon.

Dikwena allowed Baroka to come back twice after Katlego Otladisa and Robert Ngambi put De Sa’s men ahead.

De Sa is still hopeful that his men will eventually get things right and start collecting three points.

“It’s frustrating. How many times should we have won? You don’t mind been beaten fair and square. You come back and try to do it. But when it’s there and you don’t do it, it’s frustrating. Our decision making needs to be better in both attack and defence. It’s individual errors. That’s the problem. It’s the mistakes that are hurting us. We can see that and we speak about it. We need to get that right. A win will come. In most games since I have been at Platinum Stars, we should have won. We may not have won but we have been performing. That’s a good sign. A win will come,” said De Sa.

That Baroka equalized towards the end of the match did not sit well with De Sa, his bench and all associated with Dikwena. De Sa says draw feels like a loss especially that it was a smash and grab one.

“It does feel like a loss because of the way the game went. Playing a team on top of the log away from home it was a good result. It’s just the way it was achieved that is disappointing. The goals came from our mistakes. We will work on it. We will continue to try and improve. We will try and coach. It’s a coaching job. Now we have to teach our players to be better. That’s it,” said De Sa.

Stars’ next match is away to Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on December 06.
