Stellies Get Rid Of Matsheke Over Misconduct

Stellenbosch Football Club has confirmed that they have parted ways with former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Darrel Matsheke by mutual agreement after the player transgressed the club’s internal code of conduct.

Matsheke only joined Stellies at the beginning of the current season and made 12 appearances across all competitions in five months at the club.

Matsheke becomes the second player to be released by the Cape Winelands based club following their parting of ways with another former Chiefs player in Kgaogelo Sekgot.

Matsheke leaves Stellies having won 2023 Carling Knockout cup scoring the winning penalty kick during the penalty shootout.
