DStv Premiership Wednesday round-up

The Vhembe derby between Black Leopards and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila ended in a 1-1 draw in the DStv Premiership match at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Rhulani Manzini scored a typical Manzini goal from a freekick just outside the box to earn TTM a point against Vhembe rivals Leopards.

Roderick Kabwe had opened the scoring for Leopards after converting a penalty on the stroke of halftime to make it 1-0 heading into the halftime break. The penalty was awarded after a wild challenge by Thabo Rakhale on Tebogo Makobela inside the box.

Orlando Pirates 1-0 Chippa United

Fortune Makaringe scored with four minutes left as Orlando Pirates claimed all three points after defeating 10-men Chippa United 1-0 at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.

AmaZulu 0-2 Golden Arrows

New AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy would have been left with more questions than answers as he watched his team from the stand as they go down 2-0 to Arrows at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium on Wednesday night.

Nduduzi Sibiya opened the scoring from the spot-kick on the stroke of halftime after a handball in the box to make it 1-0 heading into the half-time break. Velemseni Ndwandwe made it 2-0 five minutes after the break.

Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 Baroka FC 

Celtic scored two late goals through Tumelo Mangweni in the 81st minute and Ishmael Njoti in the referee’s optional time as they beat Baroka FC 2-0 at the Dr Molemela Stadium.
