Chippa United have confirmed the signing of former Cape Town City winger Craig Martin on a two-year deal with an option to extend for another year ahead of the 2023/24 DStv premiership season.
The 29-year-old joins Chippa from only Orlando Pirates where he spent just six months after having joined the Buccaneers halfway through the 2022/23 season.
Martin struggled for game time managing only six appearances for the buccaneers.
Chippa coach Morgan Mammila says the signing of Martin bodes well for their aspirations.
“His [Martin] addition to our squad on this extended commitment is a clear indicator of our aspirations for the new season,” Mammila said in a statement released by the club.
“We eagerly anticipate Martin’s impact on the field, and we are confident in his pivotal role in the pursuit of our ambitious goals.”
