The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee found Black Leopards and its chairman Mr David Thidiela guilt of abusing a match official during their National First Division (NFD) fixture against Royal Eagles in December.
Part of PSL statement read:
Black Leopards FC and club member, Mr David Thidiela were found guilty of two charges of abusing a match official during the club’s National First Division fixture against Royal Eagles FC on 17 December 2016.
The club was sentenced to a monetary fine of R200 000.00 suspended for two years.
Mr Thidiela was sentenced to a fine of R 200 000.00 of which R150 000.00 was suspended for two years plus a four match ban from matches, also similarly suspended for two years.
The parties were ordered to pay the costs of the sittings of the Disciplinary Committee jointly and severally.
In the same sitting, Mamelodi Sundowns was found guilty of fielding an ineligible player Thabang Sibanyoni in their MultiChoice Diski Challenge match against Chippa United FC on 04 December 2016.
This is after Mamelodi Sundowns fielded Sibanyoni in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge fixture despite the player having accumulated four yellow cards.
The match was awarded to Chippa United FC with a 3-0 score and one point was deducted from Mamelodi Sundowns FC. The player, Sibanyoni was suspended for an additional match.
