Williams saved the first three penalties from former Manchester United forward Bebe, Willy Semedo, Laros Duarte before spectacularly saving Patrick Andrade‘s last penalty to send Bafana through.

Bafana’s penalties were converted by Tebogo Mokoena and Mothobi Mvala with Zakhele Lepasa sending his effort high and Aubrey Modiba having his effort saved by goalkeeper Vozinha in between the converted penalties.

Captain Williams also made a brilliant finger tips save to tip Gilson Benchimol’s first-time strike against the woodwork to ensure the match go into extra time.

Ironically, Bafana will face Nigeria in the semi-finals on Wednesday, the same opponent they faced the last time they reached AFCON semi-finals in 2000. The Super Eagles won that clash 2-0.
