Andiswe MGcoyi resumed her rich scoring form for Mamelodi Sundowns as they returned from their COSAFA champions league action to beat Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at Groenkloof stadium.
Ngcoyi scored two goals against TUT, each in either half, taking her season total up to 12 league goals in 12 matches.
Ngcoyi continued her scoring form when she gave Sundowns a 1-0 lead with 30 minutes gone. Rhoda “Mukololo” Mulaudzi made it 2-0 in the 41st minute to give Sundowns a 2 goals advantage going into the break.
After the break, Zanele Nhlapho converted a penalty with 51 minutes gone before Ngcoyi scored her brace in the 66th minute to make it 4-0.
TUT scored two quick goals through Salome Kekana in the 72nd minute and a penalty scored by Njabulo Sangweni in the 79th minute to make it a respectable 4-2 final score.
The three points extend Sundowns’ lead at the top of the Hollywoodbets Super league to four points. TUT remain second having played three more games than leaders.
